NBOA NBOA

The NBOA Leadership Academy is a one-year leadership development program designed for a select cohort of independent school business office professionals ready to gain the skills and organizational perspectives necessary to grow and advance as an independent school business leader. 

Through a partnership with the Independent School Leadership M.Ed. Program at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, participants will

  • Enhance their understanding of the complex roles and responsibilities of school leadership
  • Learn the importance of building relationships throughout their independent school communities, with strategies to do so successfully.
  • Begin to develop a leadership profile and personal plan of action to elevate their impact in their school communities.

Based on financials from 176 member schools in NBOA's BIIS data platform, the Tuition Discounting Report analyzes trends in tuition discounting from 2018-2020. Included in the research report are trends in tuition discounting rates, trends in types of tuition discounting, trends in students receiving tuition discounts, trends in funding need-based financial aid and merit aid/scholarships and trends in enrollment, tuition and fees and tuition discounting.
