NBOA's comprehensive program designed to give business officers new to their position a step-up and prepare them to be effective leaders in their school community

Today's independent school business officer is expected to be a master of many trades, including financial guru, strategic partner to the Head, and project manager for large construction projects. In this one-day seminar taught by experienced business officers, we will explore the increasingly complex role of the business officer in independent schools and provide a forum to create relationships with peers and mentors that will serve participants long after the end of the Institute. Scheduled topics include financial management and budgeting; enrollment and collections; facilities management; and important relationships.
