Who was Ken White?

Let's be honest, many of us believed that Ken was mostly, if not all, work and little play! He could discuss business matters ANYWHERE, ANYTIME! There has never been any doubt that Ken was out to benefit people. Whether it was his immediate family or his extended families of the communities of church and school, Ken pushed his efforts to find ways to do things better, and of course less expensively, to be able to spread the savings to other needs.
Ken was a visionary, not just for his school but for all schools. He was always ahead of the rest of us. At one of Ken's memorial services upon his death in 1996, he was recognized as a man of deep faith, a mentor, an inspiration, a blessing, a colleague, a neighbor, and a friend.
Ken held a financial position at the college level at Davison-Elkin and for 21 years at Westminster School, Atlanta. He was active in many organizations including as a founding member of the group now known as MISBO, for whom he was the key man in starting and supporting the purchasing consortium, and later involved with the forming of the liability insurance policy for schools. He was active for several years in ABOIS and served a term on the NAIS Business Service Committee.
