NBOA Program History
The National Business Officers Association (NBOA) was founded to help independent school Business Officers work effectively in an increasingly demanding environment.
NBOA firmly believes Business Officers have the opportunity and obligation to exercise leadership within their institutions and their industry.
NBOA is committed to excellent, innovative services and activities for Business Officers. NBOA programs are proactive: anticipating changes in education, and preparing member schools to meet future challenges.
Together, NBOA and its members will develop further our skills, our standards and our will to succeed and prosper.
NBOA is a professional organization for independent school Business Officers. Founded in February 1998 by 23 Business Officers from around the country, NBOA has spent its first five years focused on developing opportunities for professional development and information sharing for independent school Business Officers.
