Who should be nominated for this award?

This award will be given to business officers who have made a significant difference to their schools. These business officers, in doing their job, exemplify a high standard of integrity, knowledge, and motivation to help their schools succeed. These business officers are team players. Their work supports faculty, staff, trustees and administration. They are excellent managers as well as leaders for those around them.

In order to be considered for this award a business officer must have clearly demonstrated an effective mastery of his or her job. But more importantly his/her work must have made a significant difference to the school, the staff and the students.

How do I nominate someone?

Nominations may be made by peers, business officer associations or by individual heads of school. Each nomination must have the recommendation of the head of school as well as the endorsement of the business officer association to which the school belongs. The nomination then is forwarded to NBOA.

How will I know who receives the award?

The Awards will be announced at the NBOA Annual meeting. As many awards will be given as there are deserving nominees.

The award will be delivered to the Head of School to present to the Business Officer at a significant school occasion, such as a board meeting or an all-school ceremony.
