Linda Dennison is currently the Associate Head for Finance and Operations for Indian Creek School. Previously, Linda served Baltimore Lab School as the Director of Finance and Operations where she created stand-alone financial and operational processes and helped the school spin off as an independent entity, as it had been a division of the Lab School of Washington since its founding in 2000. Prior to that, she served as the Chief Financial Officer for Grace Episcopal Day School where she helped to restructure the school's business operations by creating and implementing multi-year business and financial plans. Linda has also served as the Director, Consulting Services for the National Business Officers Association. Her primary responsibilities included leading consulting assignments specifically focused on school sustainability, leadership and governance, and operational effectiveness; developing and writing best practice standards for school business operations and presenting on various topics at regional and national conferences for independent school professionals. She believes in developing strong infrastructures with effective teams, systems, programs and tools that promote school stability, growth and long-term sustainability. Throughout her career, Linda has held various positions within independent schools and has served on several nonprofit boards in various leadership positions including Tabor Academy, Summit Montessori School and the Association of College Counselors of Independent Schools. She is passionate about education believing that every child should have access to an educational experience that nurtures his/her authentic self. Linda is a graduate of Tabor Academy, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Maine, a Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership for Independent Schools from Johns Hopkins University, is a CPA.
