Our Members »

NBOA's primary community is comprised of independent schools (K-12, boarding and day). The association serves the business officer and staff with financial and administrative responsibilities at its member schools. These individuals typically have the role of chief financial officer, chief operations officer, business manager, or assistant/associate head of school. Their areas of responsibility typically include accounting, financial management and reporting, risk management, regulatory compliance, facilities management, human resources, technology, environmental sustainability, and auxiliary services (dining services, school stores, summer and after-school programs, and facility rentals).

Jeffrey N. Shields, CAE, has served as the Executive Director of NBOA since March 2010.
