Summer Institute is unlike any other professional development program out there: fun yet focused, relaxing yet constructive. It’s your chance to recharge and reconnect: you’ll learn new skills, build new relationships, and come back to your job truly rejuvenated.
Two tracks are offered throughout the week—Basic and Advanced—to meet every experience level. The Basic track is specially designed for business officers who are new to the field (1-3 years experience), or for those who want to learn a new skill from scratch. Advanced programming meets the needs of those with multiple years of experience on the job, in need of more in-depth education.
All participants have the opportunity to attend general sessions highlighting the many changes in technology, law or other issues affecting independent schools. Whether it’s your first year on the job or your 30th, you’ll get the level of education that’s right for you.
Every day at Summer Institute is structured so that formal presentations are interspersed with informal networking events. Our faculty—all experienced business officers—and a variety of independent school experts will lead you through special workshops and activities designed to hone your skills, cultivate personal growth, and foster relationships that can last the rest of your life.
