Refund Policy

If participants cancel their reservation for group-based programs more than four weeks prior to the event, then the participant will receive a refund for any fees paid less an administrative processing fee. For NBOA's Symposium, Business Officer Institute and Strategic Leadership Forum the processing fee is $100; for all other NBOA events the processing fee is $50.

If a participant cancels within four weeks of any group-based program, then any fees paid will be forfeited in their entirety as expenses will have been incurred for all registrants. On the rare occasion that NBOA can replace the canceling participant's space with another registrant, then NBOA will refund fees paid less the administrative processing fee.

If a non-member registers for an NBOA webinar but does not attend the presentation, the registration fees cannot be refunded, nor will the registrant be able to view the archived version of the presentation. The webinar archive is only accessible to NBOA members.

Program Cancellation

If NBOA cancels a program for any reason, a notification email will be sent to all pre-registered participants as well as the NBOA listservs and the cancellation will be posted on the NBOA website. Pre-registered participants will receive a full refund of any deposit or program fees paid.

Professional Development: Complaints/Grievance Procedures

If for any reason a participant is not satisfied with any of NBOA's professional development programs, the participant should submit his/her complaint in writing to:

NBOA
900 19th Street, N.W.
Suite 200
Washington, DC 20006

Information to be included in the complaint should include: name, address and contact information of the participant, name and dates of the program and the nature of the complaint. NBOA is committed to quality programs and will investigate each claim and take action, as necessary.
