What does being a 21st century school mean for your school's fiscal structure and future sustainability?
How do you move your school forward when one of your primary roles is to maintain fiscal stability?
Once your leadership team has identified the change that is needed – how do you collaboratively achieve it?
NBOA's Strategic Leadership Forum offers veteran business officers and their schools' leadership teams an opportunity to answer these questions and explore core issues facing the independent school community regarding leading change with other experienced leaders. Held Nov. 4 - 6 in Chicago, the Forum will delve into how leaders of independent schools have managed major change initiatives and increased their capacity to deliver on their mission as 21st century schools. The following issues are a sample of the change leadership issues that will be explored:
Finding practical ways to accelerate online learning and other technological curriculum and administrative innovations.
Making global learning a reality.
Managing school culture through a merger or major organizational change.
Creating a culture of positive engagement with faculty.
The program is geared toward teams that include a business officer and head of school or other senior decision-making administrator. Using a blended learning experience of pre-work, large group presentations, and small group discussions, attendees will leave with actionable ideas to lead change generated from the program's collaborative work sessions. NBOA's Strategic Leadership Forum is ideal for school leaders who are actively working to implement concrete changes at their schools, bringing together the people, resources, processes, and technology integration necessary for long-term sustainability.
